“Not out of the woods yet” is a two part mural reflecting on these trying times and how our minds and bodies cope with the shrinking physical and social spaces.
The first part is about the body – two bodies are tumbling around in their small cells – rotating around and around without getting anywhere. There is an illusion of some sort of progression, but they are really just being thrown about like in a dryer.
The second part is about the mind and is a row of faces overgrown with roots. A mess of branching thoughts have solidified, on one hand suggesting some sort of mental activity and on the other hand resembling a hardened shell over an unknown object.
